Which direction is good for constructing dining room ?

These days’ architectures design the dining room as an extension of the drawing room. A Dining room is a place where the family gets together at meal times, spends quality time with each other and even discusses their experiences of their hectic day. Hence, this place plays a vital role in building harmony, peace and love among the family members of a house. Vastu lays down certain principles pertaining to the position and direction of the Dining room which would strengthen and build healthy and strong ties among the members of the residing family within the structure called their home.
Make sure that the members of the family face the east, north, north-east or north-west directions while having their food.

The dining table should always be adorned with fresh fruits and flowers. One should install a mirror on the eastern wall of the dining room which in turn would reflect the food lay out on the table. Doing this would bring in prosperity and health for the family members.

Pickles should always be kept covered as they create sourness in relations. Similarly, sharp objects like knives and scissors should be kept covered at all times or else they give rise to unpleasantness in relations among the close family members, relative and friends.

An oval shaped dining table is considered inauspicious. The dining table of the house should be kept in such a position that it is not visible from the main door. If the architectural lay out of the house does not permit this, one can use a screen or a curtain to form the partition.
The dining table should stand out and should not be over shadowed by the rest of the furniture kept in the room.

A focus light suspending from the ceiling onto the dining table is considered very auspicious.
A dining table should never be kept against a wall; it should have enough moving space on all its sides.
The number of chairs with the dining table should always be even, i.e. two, four, six and so on.
You should never display medicines as what you sow, so you reap.
